NYU’s Asian American Theatre Alliance has just announced auditions for their spring play.

Whether you have acted before or have never acted in your life, please come out to audition! All are welcome to try out!

LAVA by EDWARD SAKAMOTO:

LAVA, a dark comedy that takes place in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island, brings together a local guy and a haole mainlander who must face each other as adversaries. During the course of the play, two women who may or may not be malevolent spirits, appear to the two men in the form of life-size Bunraku puppets.

The mission of Asian American Theatre Alliance (AATA) is to foster the presence of Asian Americans on stage and screen, while simultaneously working to raise awareness for increased visibility of Asian Americans in all fields of media and entertainment at NYU and beyond.
